RJ

Randall Lee Jackson Jr. is an Multi-Instrumentalist, Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Co-Producer, Teacher, Mentor, Creole/Native American Historian, and Louisiana Creole Linguist born and raised in rural Deep East Texas, but now resides in Southwest Louisiana(Opelousas/Lafayette). RJ is one of the younger musicians carrying on the Creole music tradition, but not new to the Zydeco & Creole community from Louisiana to Texas, to California. He has also toured, produced, co-produced under the Mentorship/Apprenticeship of Grammy Award Winning/Grammy Nominated/International Zydeco Music Ambassadors artists such as Chubby Carrier, Curley Taylor, and Andre Thierry. But Now! Because of his love for Music, and his goal to bring healing to the world through the Universal language of music. RJ “Smoove” is known for blending the sounds of Neo-Soul, Jazz, R&B, Gospel, Funk, and Soul Music with hard hitting Zydeco Grooves. Even covering artist such as the S.O.S Band, Rick James, Confunkshun, and few others Zydeco Style! Showing the audience how traditional Louisiana  Creole Zydeco Music has evolved, and how it is here to stay! But, never to forgot the sweet Zydeco traditions of Amédé Ardoin, Clifton Chenier, Boozoo Chavis, Roy Carrier, Preston Frank, John Delafose, Buckwheat Zydeco, Jude Taylor, and Many More Zydeco Legends and Pioneers.
